Who Is Brother Andy? The hyper-creative Brother Andy (a.k.a. A. Neal, 1959 -) is an American self-proclaimed "uber-artist" (an artist proficient in five media or more) and "retro-futurist", who currently resides in Palm Springs, California. His numerous credits include films, television shows, commercials, plays, books, magazines, acting, photography, graphics, makeup, costumes, sets, music, painting, fashion, interior design, web site design and visual merchandising. Child Prodigy The ever-provocative Andy was a precocious child (labeled a "genius" by a first grade teacher) who wanted to become a master puppeteer. Growing up on a farm in the South, he learned the craft of special effects makeup from watching films of his idol, Lon Chaney, transforming himself through trial-and-error into thousands of different characters -- all the while milking cows. He left the farm for Southern California once graduating from high school, where he worked at Movieland Wax Museum in a haunted house and at Knott's Berry Farm's Halloween Haunted. Tireless Work-A-Holic Andy is a former model (appearing in such periodicals as "Playgirl" magazine and national calendars). As a photographer, he shot over 10,000 images of over four hundred models -- mostly nudes -- under his company name, Narcissus International. Under another company banner -- Roadkill Productions -- he created and portrayed the horror comedic character named "Armando Creeper and Mother" for fifteen years in films, TV ("Entertainment Tonight" and "America’s Funniest People"), conventions, film festivals, and developed a line of merchandise, plus he was KEZY radio’s "official character" for five years.
His avant garde theatrical works have been produced on stage, including an audience- participation play, "Juan and Kitten’s Wedding". As a published writer, his writings have been seen in "In Touch", "TV Guide", "Back Country Living", "Monster Maker Journal", "Absolute Palm Springs" magazines and many more. While living in San Diego, California, during his twenties, thirties and early forties, Andy also remodeled houses -- more than twenty homes to date. Brother Andy has produced, written, directed, and edited over two hundred films in various genres, including twenty-seven feature films. In the adult entertainment industry, he worked as producer, director, editor, casting director, photographer and web site designer under the company name, Full Frontal Productions, as well as providing content for several major producers. As a visionary, he became the editor-in-chief of "Intriguism" on-line magazine and creator of the Intriguism "masterpiece" icon image of "Jesus Chimp". He was an active partner in Claire's Underground Garden, an art gallery in Palm Springs, California. Dozens of literary projects, including PDF books, calendars, catalogues and brochures have been designed and produced for artists – e-books for "Lee Alien: Out Of His Mind" and "Shahram Farshadfar: People, Places And Things" and dozens of others. Brother Andy performed live poetry at Dezart Gallery, the Palm Springs Art Museum, and Wine and Art. Currently Creating As the executive producer of the band, The !ntrigants, Brother Andy produces, composes, sings, and performs, along with "guest" performers such as Tony Barre and Elysa Everson. The !ntrigants have two "albums" -- "The !ntrigants: Minds Over Matter" and "Opus Of The Haunted Soul" -- which are available on-line. Andy is media co-ordinator for Entar.com, Villagetv.com, BarreParts.com and internetzzo.net companies, plus is presently the media co-ordinator for a non-profit organization which provides educational materials to people with cognitive disabilities. On the Internet, Andy has designed and managed over 20 award-winning mixed-media websites for movie stars, writers and artists such as Peggy Vermeer.
